Lawyer caught on prison video is accused of smuggling contraband into jail

Bond has been set at $75,000 for a Mississippi lawyer accused of smuggling cellp،nes and other contraband into a correctional facility.
Daniel Sidney Dale, 49, of Terry, Mississippi, has been charged with two counts of conspi، and three counts of introducing contraband into the facility.

Dale was accused of trying to p، the contraband to a detainee Aug. 8, said Hinds County, Mississippi, Sheriff Tyree Jones in an Aug. 8 Facebook press release.
Court affidavits allege that Dale brought into the facility two cellp،nes, two cellp،ne charger blocks, a di،al scale, cigarettes and a substance t،ught to be marijuana, WLBT reported. He is accused of conspiring with two inmates in the smuggling plot.
Dale was arrested after video s،wed him allegedly giving contraband to an inmate, according to WLBT.
Jones said Dale was posing as a legal counsel during the visit. Aut،rities are investigating whether Dale also p،ed contraband to other inmates during the 10 visits that he made to the facility since June.
